Jay's intricate and meticulously detailed drawings, paintings and digital art, have a wide range of influences but are purely based on metaphysical concepts. Many images are derived from surreal worlds that play out in his mind like lucid dreams throughout the day. His visions range in styles from classical to surrealism. He focuses on invoking an emotional response from his images through composition, intricate details, color, light and subject matter. Although an abstract surrealist at heart, his ability to successfully execute a variety of styles has allowed him to work with an array of clients producing imagery ranging from the dark and mysterious to the peaceful and charming. His use of traditional media combined with digital media for his creations, has garnered him international acclaim among a variety of artistic circles, and on several art websites and forums. His most recent series, Symmetria, a fantastic combination of pen drawings and mixed media, continues to be a subject of great interest. His work has been used in the print and entertainment industries and he has a variety of skills including fine art, illustration, graphic design, mural painting, set painting, conceptual art and animation. His experience with laser light show animation led him into the entertainment industry where he worked in creating special effects and recently he has been advancing his skills with digital art and web site design. A partial list of clients include; Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida, Disney, Hollywood Tokio Film Consortium, Creative Visions, Stargate Films, Starlasers, Liteforms, and BSUN Media Systems. As a freelance artist his work has appeared in magazines, advertising campaigns, web sites, novelty items, television, feature films and theme parks. Jay continues to work on his own imaginative ideas as well as a story aimed for animated film development. He is continually attempting to improve his skills as a fine artist, illustrator, art director, and digital artist, with a certain edge.
